Swire was recognized for his continued commitment to the privacy field in tackling emerging privacy and security issues in public policy, academia and industry.

Swire teaches “Privacy Technology, Policy, and Law” (with Prof. Antón) and “Information Security Strategies and Policy.” Swire published a framework (2018) for teaching the non-code aspects of cybersecurity.
