(April 25, 2018) Peter Swire has been named a 2018 Andrew Carnegie Fellow to study “Protecting Human Rights and National Security in the New Era of Data Nationalism.” The new project, with $200,000 in research funding, builds on the successful “Cross-Border Requests for Data Project,” whose main recommendations were incorporated into the CLOUD Act (Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data), enacted in 2018.
